Scooby doo is the fun filled package which consists of all the twists and turns that one can expect in an adventure. This game in Sega genesis was launched in the year 1995 and featured both fun filled and frolic game play. The animation is absolutely brilliant and the people love the awesome puzzle solving. This is a console version of the original Scooby doo Pc versions which was a point and click adventure and played like an old fashioned text adventure game but with more fun. The game play consists of two mysteries which must be solved. The first one is Blake's Hotel mystery. Blake was Daphne's uncle and he invited the Mystery Inc gang over to his hotel for a weekend for them to relax and ski. When they reach the hotel, they find out that all the hotel people and the tourists are being scared by the ghost of the Ancient Chieftan and hence ruining his business. The ghost is not happy about the hotel being built on his burial ground. Later Uncle Blake gets kidnapped and it is up to Scooby and Shaggy now to find the clues and hunt down this ghost. The backgrounds and the environment of the hotel is very adaptable and with all the snow accumulated makes the adventure more fun and you enjoy looking for clues.

The second mystery which the gang has to solve is the Ha Ha carnival. This time the gang arrives at this carnival to enjoy and have some fun but finds it almost deserted. Soon Fred Daphne and Velma get trapped in a pond while enjoying a ride in the carnival. They also find out that someone has broken the tracks of the roller coaster ride. They find out that an evil looking phantom clown is doing all this and chases Scooby and Shaggy all around the carnival. Both mysteries have Shaggy and Scooby playing the major role in rescuing the gang members and saving the day, finding all the clues they can and putting them together. The player in control is Shaggy while Scooby is there just for company. The game interface includes walking around the scenario and choosing various actions from the menu and then clubbing them with various objects. A password feature is also provided in the game play with which you can continue from where you left off.

Scooby Doo Mystery is a game which is so detailed that it feels like you are controlling an entire episode. The only thing that the gamers do not like about this game is the music which is repetitive in nature and gets on the nerves.

Maybe a little hard for kids but this game is worth your money and time. So consider yourself lucky if you find this game to play as once you start this mystery adventure, you will think yourself as a part of mystery Inc. and enjoy every bit of the game.
